coolant leak

For those that do not make it to the other boards... Just wanted to post about a problem I had with my cooling system. I had a low coolant resevoir that I topped up several times. After running I would always find the resevoir low. My dealer thought it was a cracked coolant resevoir and scheduled me an appointment. Well today they were able to locate the source of the leak... they need to replace the "coolant control valve" going to the engine. Apparantly this valve controls the rate of coolant flow to the engine, sort of like a thermostat. The part is ordered and I should get the GT back before the big weekend at Sebring.

if that valve just restricts flow, where is all the coolant you're adding going to? or does the valve leak?

No, the valve is the source of the leak.
