high speed tyres

Continental launched their new 224mph rated tyres for ultra supercars last month, has anyone tried these? are they available yet in USA?

They only come in 19" 235 & 315 configurations for now.

there's some info on the TT forum...

the openroadracing.com guys all swear the p 0 assymetrico is the best 18" [no 19's for speed!!!] for high speed, up to 211 mph sustained.

Any tire we sell goes up to a Y speed rating of 186mph. I have no info on anything rated over 200 mph from any manufacturer. I'll do some digging and get back to you guys.

Here's the scoop:

Continental will be providing the tires for sale in the US, but not until later this year. At present they have not given an ETA here. They may not even be in production yet. Anybody interested can PM me and I'll put you on a contact list.

Continental sucks. How many competition series use Conti tires... almost none, if not none.

most discerning Samoan bodyguards use conti's on their Hummers and on their lincoln M5's
