LOL

Well Joe, coming from a fellow "carsaleshole" I think that you will have your hands full with this guy. I guess if you see a guy come walking in wearing a Jupiter Ale House t-shirt and carrying a back pack that appears to be very heavy, you may be able to work yourself a very lean deal.

Tommy, we regards to your comments about opinions...we all have them and we do have a right to voice them. That is one of the reasons why we live in this wonderful country. I am no Mother Teresa and have dropped many an F-bomb in my days. I do refrain from doing it in any public forum where it might be offensive to someone else. I also think that it makes me look less intelligent, especially in a forum like this where I do not have the luxury of knowing people except through my words. I guess I just choose them more consiously for that reason.

Just out of curiosity, are you looking to return to Porsche ownership or just burning time? I have had a few M3's and they are great cars but I still believe that there is no substitute.

JJB

Joe, funny when I was in the dealership last week or so I saw the CGT on the floor with a SOLD sticker with your name as salesman. I was proud (since I got my '02 TT from you). But that means he didn't drive it home. It must have needed some more prep!!

Congratulations

"...how much they pay for things. Its none of my nor your business. Be it cars..."

Then any reason you started this public internet thread with:

"Jack played hard a$$ with them and walked out the door exactly $408K poorer...Oh yeah Jack got the Bently GT for MSRP as well $198,970.00, all in all not a bad way to spend $606,970 on a Sunday afternoon."

JJB, Jack's taste in his clothes is more of the Tommy Bahama's look....no T-shirt and definitley no backpacks. It was much easier for him and more user freindly to stroke a check for the Bentley GT and the Carerra GT. Happy Selling

Firstly , I dont ask people how much they pay for things. Its none of my nor your business. Be it cars, houses, or hookers. This info was provided to me "unsolicited" by an "overzealous carsaleshole". I was simply minding my own business waiting for an appraisal to come back on my coworkers 04 IS300, when this sales guy started carrying on about the CGT being sold. I was there only to keep my female friend from being fuked over by the sales staff. She is unhappy w/ her 2 week old IS and I recommended looking at a Boxster. I was wearing a Jupiter Ale house Tshirt so this guy just started going on and on about the sale. I thought it was interesting and figure it was worth posting. I made no claims on its truthfulness.
Secondly, everybody that buys a car has their own method of negoitiating down a price to where it can be mutually agreed upon by both parties. I just listed what has worked for me in the past, thats all, take it or leave it for what it is. If this cash method works for me , it may help someone else out in their future purchase, you really have no right to voice your opinion into how I do my business. I admit I am in no position to freely toss my money around so I have to cut corners where I can.
Thirdly I didnt realize you were so infatuated w/ me in the diction and content of my posts, now that I am aware Mother Theresa is on my a$$ I will be more cognicent of my editorial content.
Dude, you are funny By the way....what the heck is a jupiter ale house t-shirt?? Did you pay cash for it??

Well even though some of you are more interested in being a holes , for the rest of you I took a bunch of pics today of it while I was at the ale house for lunch. Due to the smart a$$ es that told me to go back over to the M3 forum, I will make y'all wait a little while before I post them. Evan however if I have time tonight I will Email them to you. I also got some of the Ferrari 456 Gt sitting behind it , it had no chance though of any pimp factor sitting anywhere near the CGT.

ben,lg

Those pics blow, they are mostly PR photos from Porsche. The 3 CGT's together pictured during drivetrain testing were taken off the M3 Forums about a year ago. The rest are just staged. The only half way interesting one , (which is a crappy shot of the CGT btw) is the pic w/ the GT1, 959 and CGT. I think ad lib pics taken in the real world right off the street are always sexier than staged ones. Kinda like seeing a hot babe (or hot guy maybe in your case ben,lg ) in a magazine all photo touched up and fake then seeing her (or again him) walking by you at the beach in a nice a$$ thong au natural.

Well if you get a copy of today's Palm Beach Post (Saturday 7/3/04) ypu will note that Jack Miller paid $500,000.00 plus tax. In addition, the Bentley GT went for $ 193,000.00 plus tax which was not mentioned , but I thought I would share that with you. I 'll let you know how the Carerra GT runs after taking it for a sprint at Moroso.....I am totally psyched Joe @ Braman Porsche

Damn you beat me to it! I assumed the newspaper just rounded the number up for the purposed of the story instead of say the car cost $44x,xxx.xx whatever?

Moroso? 1/4 mile runs? I doubt he'll have any traction to get decent E.T.s I am sure the trap speed wil be 120+ though
