Stock 996 GT3 Top Speed = 198 miles-318 km/h?
A friend showed me a 1999 issue of "Sport Auto" French car magazine with a very interesting article about speed. A journalist drove a GT3 from Paris to Nice (570 miles) in just 4.15h. Maximum speed in his stock car: 318 km/h (198 miles). I know Porsche is a little conservative about her figures, but this is too much I guess...

You can't always go by speedometer readings. I've seen 322km/h on an R8.

Somewhere I saw a picture of a stock carrera S and the speedo said 197..

the speedo is never accurate. the faster u go the inaccuracy is expediential. GPS is the most accurate.
