Two GT3's in rain (GT3RS with Dymags...)

Our last track day was a bit wet one. Fortunately the track dried in the end. This time I was not driving due to brake problems...

But anyway decided to share some pics. Here's a couple of pics of my friend's 997 GT3 RS,

The Dymags are really light. And the full Cargraphic Stage 6 exhaust is...well it's too loud for the track staff :)

Also some rolling shots of another 6speed member masa^^'s 996 GT3 mk2 with Cargraphic mods,

The RS discs look knackered!

Paris_CarreraS May 18, 2008 02:39 PM

yes....they look craked...

GT3 RS and no PCCB? why? you prefer the big reds?

sweet pics!

Kaizu May 18, 2008 04:09 PM

Yes the disks are a bit cracked - if not, you are not braking hard enough ;)

The car was specced without PCCB's. Their advantage comes only from reduced weight and not braking performance. Most fast RS's I have seen are driven with steel brakes so no need to panic.

Of course now the owner has got himself a set of world's lightest wheels so I feel there's a lighter brake upgrade coming as well (MOVIT Ceramics!? :D) Another thing is can the difference between lighter brakes be measured in anyway aside from "feeling"... ;) But of course, isn't that famous owner's feeling all that counts! :D

Btw. About the Cargraphic full exhaust. As you know from the videos etc. it is either loud or even too loud ;)

who is the supplier of those dymag's? and do they got painted by your friend, or dymag has the set in black? I believe I only saw the silver one's.

absolutely beautiful!

The wheels were ordered in those sizes and color straight from the factory from England, www.dymag.com

At that moment they did not have RS Green color ready, only Kawasaki Green so black was the way to go and indeed silver one's would look a bit stupid in this kind of car.

I prefer the stock wheels on GT3RS...

ArcticFox May 19, 2008 11:53 AM

Love the color and the wheels! VERY nice!

Too loud for the track, I had to de tune my system to be able to drive it on the track, swithed my EVO mufflers for the stock PSE mufflers and in normal mode no problems with being too loud.

Thanks for the pictures.
