The market for the CGT has softened...there are low mileage cars under 400k!!! There is a strong possibility I may buy one tomorrow.

1. I am 6'2" and I have space, even with a helmet and roof in place.
2. The clutch has no issues at all for me. I didn't even stall the car once after driving it for 2 months. But I imagine the clutch might be tricky on an incline, which I haven't experienced much. I heard the later models have an easier clutch.
3. The only reliability issue I have experienced after 13k miles is the spoiler not coming down. Otherwise, everything is fine. Some rattles here and there.
4. Seems easy to drive fast, but I guess that is relative. It is not as confidence inspiring as other cars since there is no understeer at all so you don't really know where the limit is (perhaps I haven't driven it fast enough). The car seems to roll a bit more in the corners than I like. The gears seem to be placed really close together at first, but after getting used to it, car shifts very nicely.
5. Not sure.

My thoughts as well. I am thinking of softening the rear sway bar to see the difference.

One of the greatest cars you will ever drive. You may have to remove the roof, but that's a plus!

It won't really change the character of the car, but softening the rear bar makes the rear end feel more planted when powering out of a corner.

I encourage you to try it.

Great car... Just don't buy #1007 from Sanfer. That car was mine and had a big accident. Carfax is clean, but the car had a $280.000 repair estimate from The Collection. I sold it to them for $150.000 and it seems they worked out "their magic" with no carfax report whatsoever.

$280k of repair? Have you rolled it a few times or what? Good to know about that, will tell some mates who are in the market that they will leave it there.

Sick//M:

Just in case you are interested, they are selling 5 Porsche Carrera GT in Spain right now.
1 black and 4 grey.

Here you have:

The black one 445k €, 5000km, 3100milles, this is the #702.

Grey 460k €, 7000km, 4349milles.

Anothe grey one 480k €, 6900km, 4287milles.

These are from a Porsche official dealer, both grey: 325k € with 4970milles (8000km) and 350k€ with 3106milles (5000km).

I know they are pretty expensive according to their mileages ... I tell you just in case you are considering buying it outside the States.

Sorry for my crappy english.
By the way, my first post

That black one cost new in 2005 about 504.778,00 euros, according the dealer.

EDIT: Those prices are in euros, not american dollars.

Anyway, how much was in the States the CGT new? Wasn't half a million or something like that?

I would drive both CGT and SLR to see which one may be better for you. SLR is a lot easier to drive and a lot cheaper too, you can probably drive it daily, unlike CGT. I would also check out LP640. A lot of choices out there...
