Can't pop engine lid on CGT?
 

Has anyone run into a situation where they hear the engine lid motor activating but the lid does not open? How do you open the lid when this happens?

Sounds like the servo is not working, or the latch somehow is not working.

Would try getting a helper to push the button while you very easily pull downward and upward on the lid near the latch area. Hopefully something just got stuck in latch hardware.

There is an emergency release behind the left tail lamp as I recall.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't see that trick in the service manual. I was able to get to it by pulling the fender guard. The servo came loose. See photos...
