Red Car sitting in a dealer in Florida.

WP0CA29885L001109

5,600 miles one owner. Originally registered and maintained in Ohio.

If you could point me to the specific problem areas to look for during a PPI, that will help me. I know that the clutch life is to be checked, and the carbon tub inspected for damage, anything else?

Thanks a lot.

Check the computer for any unusual activity like overrevs or overheating. Get and inspect all the service maintenance records from one or more dealers that serviced the car.

Check that all campaigns were done.

Check that the rear spoiler goes up and down OK and that the clutch does not slip in 3rd or 4th gear under full acceleration if you can do that somewhere safe.

Check the brake pads and rotors for wear. Also check the carbon underbody and body panels for damage/repairs.

Other than that, if the car was not abused, it should last for many years with no major service, and the clutch should last 50K+ miles if used properly.

Bill S - Did you write the comparison between the CGT and Scud on FChat?

If so, then to the OP - this guy knows what he's talking about.

Yes that was me. Always glad to help another enthusiast. I tried to bust my CGT when it was still under warranty, and I could only manage to bust the silly spoiler mechanism.
