the car will step out alot in 1st and 2nd if you dont roll/ease into the gas. Im used to just mashing it to the floor and if you do that you will easily spin the tires, thank goodness for TC. TC REALLY saves your butt and more than you realize. It will let you step out plenty then save you, you can even power slide with it on, BUT if you think its not there go to an EMPTY parking lot, no light poles, curbs, etc and turn it off and you will instantly see how incedibly fast the back end will come around.
And I would imagine you still have orginal tires on, and at 5 years old you deffently need new rubber which should help. Look on the side of the tire for a four digit number. The first two are the week of the year it was made and the last two are the year. Yours should be xx05, or maybe a high 40s/50 and 04 (is 5004) Time for new rubber

you can get the set of workshop manuals, but they arent cheap. $4k+
I got a set, maybe I could photocopy the thousands of pages and have a lil side business I think the set is like 9 binders full
