Still searching for new brake pads
hey everyone,
Im trying to find a few options for new brake pads for my 996.2 GT3.
im still undecided as to what to buy because everyone ive asked (vendors) always have their own agenda. so here are what i am down to, if anyone has experience with any of these i'd greatly appreciate it
Factory Yellow pads
Hawk HPS
Ferodo
EBC (green or red)
basically i still want a good street pad, but dont want anything that would have the metalic shreek. and low dust would be a great thing also.
any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a street pad too. The OE Pagids are relatively aggressive for a street pad, and I am having a hard time getting back to an acceptable level of noise. I use Pagid track pads, and since the last event, I can't seem to get acceptable noise results with the OE pads, for street use. I'm going to make one last attempt with them, get the backing plates cleaned thoroughly and use a different anti-squeal compound. A street pad I have liked in other cars, is the Carbotech Bobcat, and they make it now in the GT3 appliation. In my case, I'm not sure if it will follow the Pagid very well, since some pads transfer a residue that is problematic with a different compound. This is a very low noise and dust pad that you might want to consider. It is not suitable for track use
