First things first, car looks beautiful. And I like the color changes you're pursuing.
Just curious, but why didn't you go with the grey/black color option from the factory - it is one of the choices available, isn't it? Seems like grey/black with the decal delete would've been exactly what you're now recreating through additional work/expense via aftermarket alterations. The tuning and exhaust work, of course, are improvements that I "get" and couldn't have been had otherwise - just not understanding the color changes that could've just been selected in the ordering guide AFAIK. Regardless, beautiful machine - enjoy it! :) |

thank you DSU for replying.
Seems a lot of people are still thinking the 2010 RS can be ordered like the past RS... NOT ;) |
Carlsen just got a white one in. Don't know if sold or not but I'm gonna go by and take pics with my RS next to it ;)

Gray/black is not a factory option on the RS. Maybe if you do paint to sample, or go with the all black option($6000+).

Looking good Fred
Gotta love those SF garages..... |
oh, that pure sex!

do you think it would be a good idea to powder coat black the wing aluminum pods?
somehow they jump from the stealth scheme... |
Regarding the decals, I had my decal guy make templates so he can make a set for me in flat black. So I may decide to add those on when they are done ;)
Also, remaining to be done is Roll Cage Powdercoated in body color and Red Fire extinguisher. Should be done next week ;) |
Car looks awesome Fred!

I have to admit, I'm not feeling it. Looks a little to plain now :(. Maybe if it were another color besides the gray.
I thought you were having the wing uprights painted black as well? |

I thought you were having the wing uprights painted black as well? as for the wing uprights I'm leaving as I talked to my body shop and it's just too much work and would be costly. Not worth it to me at this time and I actually like the contrast it brings to the wing. |
Another great build from Fred. I would have kept the decals and red wheels but that is just me, I do like this stealthier look to
