Photos of the most amazing car I ever owned...996 GT3 (forgive the nostalgia)

I have been going through old photos that I no doubt took to post in forums like this at some point, but for some reason never did. I took delivery of this car in 2004 after ordering it to spec. It was the most amazig car that I have ever owned. I had it less than a year, but am happy that I had the time that I did with it. I added a BK harness bar, TeamTech harnesses, fire extinguisher, V1 hardwire, and an XM radio controller.

Thank you for indulging the post. I have been missing that car lately for some strange reason

Breath taking! 996 GT3 has got to be my favorite car. Why'd you get rid of it

Economics I suppose was the reason for the sale

Really I just came to my senses and realized that it was more car than I needed to be driving. I was using it almost daily and knew that the value would tank with the mileage I was putting on it. If you have to worry about putting miles on it, then it is more car than you need to have

I still would not trade those several months for anything. Like the 996 GT2, these cars were truly the end of an era--no PSM, no active suspensions, no adaptive motor mounts, etc. From a tech perspective I love those advancements, but from a purist perspective I enjoyed driving a car that did not have them and yet still drove so well.

BTW...I kept the car under the cover

I don't plan on parting with the 930 anytime soon, but I would love to add a modern Porsche to my daily driver status again.
