Softronic obdii ecu flash tuning for porsche 997 gt3 gt3rs 10+
We have the ability to flash the ECU for all Porsche 997.2 GT3 and GT3RS 3.8L cars via the OBDII port.
The 2010-2012 GT3 uses a Bosch ME7.8.2 ECU which previously could only be benched flashed.
The OBDII flash process is simple and takes about 5 minutes to read it out and 5-10 mins to flash back to it.

Guys, when flashing your ecu please make sure your battery is good and use a battery charger with a desent output i.e. not a tender. If the voltage fluctuates or drops you could have problems and render the ecu possibly unrecoverable. Otherwise an easy process for anyone that can turn on a laptop and use basic functions...

Our dyno has been down and is currently being rewired as i type.

Is that true or are we wasting money buying race gas on stock ecu?

LarryP, I'm not sure if your question is directed at me, but before I got my cup cars, five of us had gen 1 RS's we modded and raced. We did a lot of work on the suspension, exhaust, diff's, brakes, cages, etc., etc. We had to dyno our cars every year to run with some local clubs so when we started thinking of increasing HP beyond the exhaust mods that we did, we contacted several people regarding the flashing of our ecu's.
I was told by two programers that if we were running race fuel our stock ecu's already were programmed to make adjustments in the air/fuel mixture and timing.
I believe those parameters are originally programmed in so that the cars sold in different country's that have different octane levels, don't have to be separately programmed.

^^^ This is correct, theres approx 10% adjustment to the maps to cater for fuel of different qualities already using the O2 sensors and knock sensors to allow more ignition advance. Some small gains can be had from setting the maps for a higher RON but its minimal compared to gains from a turbo motor.
