What's with all this beating up of the 4.0 GT3RS?
Lets make it a fair fight.
Throw a 997 TurboS or better yet a GT2RS at "godzilla".
FI vs NA the torque difference hugh.

The GTR is faster. The driver must have been a more skilled driver too. Oh wait, he just floored it. Still would rather have the GT3RS4.0!

+1, different animals. But that's Gustav for you. hilarious

in the wet its really unfair but at least its from a roll and not a stop where gtr is unbeatable

does 4.0 have lc like the 2rs?

buck986 Feb 28, 2013 02:17 PM

do we need a video to show this?

630 beats 530....am I missing something?

m5trol Mar 1, 2013 03:45 PM

Don't worry guys. The world is a better place because of the runway races Gustav arranges. Who cares about the outcome, its all in good fun.

Divexxtreme Mar 1, 2013 03:48 PM

LOL @ 630 hp. That GT-R only has a catless mid-pipe, which at best adds 12-15 hp.

Exactly. Or how about a race on a track and let's see how the GTR does. It's fast but heavy and overly compliant on the track. Driven one there and not confidence inspiring compared to an RS IMO.

No one ever claimed the GT3RS to be a drag racing car. Apples vs oranges.

Steve Theodore Mar 3, 2013 01:17 AM

The RS 4.0 did better than I expected actually. Let's face it, we'd all rather drive home in the 'slow' RS 4.0 from that comparison anyway. :)

all in good fun. different strokes for different folks

pros to 4.0 owner to drive flat out on the wet:)

m5trol Mar 3, 2013 09:23 AM

It is actually a lot of fun driving flat out in wet. The dry grip of these beasts is just too much and the slight loss of traction and ability to slide in the wet is a welcome relief. Here is one of my older threads about sliding followed by one of Chris Harris sliding on ice:

one is boosted.. one isnt boosted... take away the turbos in GTR and lets see how it does.

Diff car and diff system. Apples and Oranges.

Should be same RWHP - Turbo vs GTR (it can have a little more HP due to weight)... more fair play.

dbinpv Apr 5, 2013 06:35 PM

"Diff car and diff system. Apples and Oranges."

apples and oranges very subjective

but eye to eye is very objective with Porsche winning 99% of the time.

sorry Nissan but it is what it is

kouzman Apr 5, 2013 07:31 PM

i would still get the RS...
