I dropped my M3 off at PSI in Orlando Tuesday last week to get KW HAS, K&N Filters, and a bunch of cosmetic mods. That day, I had a C2S and a hope of ordering a GT3 at some point. I picked up the M3 today, so it got to meet its little brother today. I'm sorry, but this just makes me smile. I feel like God has blessed me beyond my deserving. I shouldn't care so much about cars, but they drive me (literally).

You are describing exactly what my PDK does. I think it's normal. Ha, I feel exhausted too (my instructor would remind me to relax), but love every second of it. It shows you how much further these cars can be pushed (and I know the gt3 is probably 2 times as capable as my GTS) on the track and how you can't even really approach it on the street safely. Okay, I was going to tell the dealership when I get my 5k miles oil change, see if they say anything. Have others in base and S 981s and 991s noted the pdk doing this? |
Money2536, how is the ride compared to the M3? Is the GT3 more harsh than the Sport+? I had a 997RS but the .2 is better and the 991 better yet?

The GT3 is very much like the C2S in sport mode, lowered on some springs. It's much more compliant than a 997, but it's stiff. It wouldn't want to daily drive it in an area with potholes and rough roads. The interior does rattle quite a bit. I guess that's a small price to pay. |

First Car Wash
I've been developing my car washing procedure for the better part of a decade. I'd like to say it's perfect, but I'm sure I'll continue to learn things. Last weekend I took some photos of my first wash of the GT3. I still haven't detailed it yet but have washed it a few times.
Get your wallets ready... :typing: I had to fill up some bottles before I got started. Since this was the first wash I decided to use my heavy duty wheel cleaner just to be on the safe side. I used to use Sonax Full Effect Wheel cleaner, but I've recently switched to 1Z Einszett Colourtec. It smells much better actually builds a lather of suds when brushed. I know Sonax was working, but I never got the feeling of clean. So I made the switch. I used Griots bottle because I like the sprayers. I know everyone raves about Kwazar spray bottles. I've bought a bunch of them, but I don't like them. Now I probably won't use this on the wheels much as both cars have CCBs. Have I mentioned how glorious CCBs are for the detailing fanatic? Most of the time I'll use good old Griots Green Wheel Cleaner. It works well. There was some water/shampoo left over from my last wash. That isn't all soap in the photo. I rarely need the bug mitt and didn't need it for this wash. I thought I might need it due to the car not being detail by yours truly yet. You get more suds with less soap. The is an electric Kranzle 1122TST with a bunch of quick connects to make set-up and break down quick and easy. Check my Kranzle video. I don't actually fill the bucket with water. I just use to carry all of the stuff from wheel to wheel.
