I know release/production of the 991 GT3RS may be 9-12 months away (educated guess) but ....... has anybody given a deposit yet on a 2015/2016 991 GT3RS ?

 

I would venture to guess the majority who have allocation or commission number are not on forums, possibly one person I know of.

 

I have a deposit in- though mostly as a courtesy by the dealer. I was told that that the 918 owners will be offered first. And with the limited production it is quite possible that us regular folk won't have any left for us.

Goal: Make friends with a 918 owner and then hope he doesn't want his allocation

 

Yup....stop by my dealer today to put the final touches on my GT3 order & he told me that they are only getting a handful of RS cars & not even taking deposits. They will be building to spec of the highest bidder......!!!

 

I put a deposit on the RS two months ago. Yes, 918 owners get first dibs, but many may not choose the RS. Plus was told even if 918 owner purchased the RS, they couldn't flip it to a new buyer.

That all said, I am high on the dealer list, but not optimistic they will get enough allocations. Partly due to promising from PCNA for a PTS GT3 that got cancelled at the 11th hour.

 

#2 on my dealer's waitlist. I put in a deposit to hold the slot about a year ago or more, I don't remember.

 

I'm in the same boat...#2-3 on the list. Dealer principal beleives he will only get 5-6 cars but there is a list of 12-14 people with deposits. The selection process will be fun for them I'm sure.
