991 GT3 vs 997 GT2

Shopping. Previous, numerous Porsches including 2007 GT3 and 2009 TT.
Loved the GT3 but also like the power of the TT, hated the TT clutch, TT
suspension needed work, not so the GT3. IMO.

So, I'm looking at the 991 GT3 or the 997 GT2. Prices are fairly close. Not
sure if I will be giggy with the PDK although I currently have a C63 AMG
Black Series and the MCT isn't bad, very smooth and nice blip on the down
shifts.

I have heard the GT2 clutch is much better than the regular TT clutch and I
like the ride height of both, not so the TT.

Inputs? How is the GT2 ride compared to the GT3? Power? The 991 GT3
is a fast sob but pdk only. 991 GT3 also, most I have seen, have the front
axle lift, not so the 997 GT2

Thanks

I was in the same boat as you.I went for the GT2 for the 3 pedals and that old fashioned stick in the middle. Not sure if the driver or passenger is suppose to use the stick.Ive been using it mostly!
Any way I went with the GT2 for its uniqueness and low build numbers.I have really fallen in love with the car!I think the gt2 is the last of the undervalued P cars
Just my 02

Have you driven a GT3? If so is the ride comparable? Does the GT2 have a
different exhaust than the TT, and does it sound better? How about the
clutch? I hear it's much better than that limp high release TT clutch.
Thanks for the info.

I have and the gt3 is an awesome car.It defiantly has a better sound. But than again all non turbo cars all sound better .The GT3 is a little faster 0-60 too.The gt3 will most likely beat the gt2 around the track. In terms of ride they are both a bit firm.Didnt drive the 3 enough to really judge the difference. The taw power of the GT2 is just awesome .The Clutch in the gt2 is better than a TT ,but it is recommend that you upgrade the clutch.I did and it is a great improvement. My GT2 has the TPC PASM upgrade which transforms the cars suspension. For me it is more about the driving experience and the rarity of the GT2.Favorite is always a matter of opinion.Either one is a win win.Im sure which ever you choose you will be happy with.

Thought the GT2 had a different exhaust than the TT. Also thought the GT2
clutch upgrade was an upgrade for the TT. SO there is an upgrade for the
GT2 also? How is the stock clutch as far as effort, I like a firm clutch over
the wimpy TT clutch, and release height? Release height on the TT is
terrible, way too high IMO.

The Gt2 clutch is much more a race set up.A bit more demanding in regard to it stiffness. And like my cup car its on or off kinda thing
