I recently purchased a 991 GT3 RS for my wife.


She wants to put a child seat in the back. I was told that the car has the welded on latch system like the 991 Turbo S, but that it is just hidden behind the carpet. I was feeling for it the other day, but was not able to locate it. I wanted to verify they are there before making cuts in the carpet.


Can anyone verify this? Thank you.

 

I don't believe so either way, I wouldn't recommend it, the GT3 or GT3RS were imported a 2 seaters. God forbid but if anything were to happen, insurance companies can get swirly applying coverage when additional seats/passengers are in an accident.

You just bought a GT3RS for your wife??? Why not just use the X5? Should have bought a turbo instead maybe. Another point, not sure how young your child is, but think about it. The ride in the back of a GT3RS would be absolutely horrible. The car is really stiff and really loud. Any kid would be absolutely miserable in the stuffed my kids in the back of my turbos and that didn't make them very happy. Couldn't imagine the reactions in the back of an RS. Food for thought.
