2019 GT3 allocation

I was offered an allocation at MSRP. I have heard many are paying a premium so I tend to think this is too good to pass up. Can anyone confirm if indeed people are paying over MSRP on new allocations?

Do you know why they are giving you the allocation at MSRP, because they don't make a 2019 gt3. 2018 was the only year for it. If you are talking about a gt3rs then that's a different story

Is it possible that this is the 992 GT3 allocation?

No it is for sure not a 992 GT3.

It was once true that GT3 were only going to be 2018 but that has changed and you can 1000% have a 2019 GT3. I have one coming in January that is a MY2019 and was offered another build slot with an ADM that has a Feb lock date.

I am waiting for delivery of my new GT3. Supposed to be here in the next couple of weeks. Would it be a 2018 or 2019 model ? I know with Ferrari if the car is produced after July it receives a model designation for the following year. Does Porsche do this or will my GT3 be a 2018 model year as it was likely built in November.

I would think your car will a 2018 because the gt car situation is different from the regular mass production models. They just decided to do the 2019 model year for the GT3 in late 2018. Originally the word was that only 2018 were going to be produced.

Thanks for the response George991TTS. Told late yesterday by my dealer that my unit will be an 18 MY and that she will be "on the water" next week. Also told that factory is building a select few 19 MY GT3's. We all tend to be cynical and think this means as many as they can sell, but with the 992.1 right around the corner I think the factory will stop producing all 991.2 GT3 manual cars by early 19 (makes sense). Glad I was able to spec a 991.2 GT3 stick my way (at MSRP) and looking forward to seeing the beast !

You guys are lucky. My dealer is not budging from $30 over sticker. I'll pass.

No P purchase before. Still interested in GT3 manual however. If not my second choice would be a 570s or 720s. I have lots of Fcar options but want to drive it as well.

Candidly most of us who buy at MSRP have long term relationships with our authorized P car dealer. You might want to buy a TT or TTS or whatever and then leave a deposit for a 992 GT3. I lost out on a 991.1 GT3RS in 2016, but this time I was able to get the 991.2 GT3 manual. Maybe I'll leave a deposit down on a 992 GT3RS and get it this time. Maybe not. Persistence pays off. I am a bit blessed as my Long Island NY P car dealer (Porsche of Roslyn) has truly outstanding sales and service. They are honest in stating what they can and can't do. Hard to not respect that. Again, it is critical to establish that relationship with your dealer. If you don't have a stellar authorized dealer like P of Roslyn then seek out that dealer by obtaining recommendations from friends, industry people, your local PCA club, etc. FWIW IMHO it seems easier to buy an F car than a GT series P car. It is my understanding that F USA compels US dealers to sell at MSRP whereas P has no such requirement. I previously daily drove a new 458 Italia that I specced and then a 2011 GTO I bought used so I am somewhat familiar with the F car purchase regimen. In any event, if you are serious about committing to acquiring a GT series P car I strongly suggest you leave a deposit (usually a modest amount of money) for a 992. My 2 cents and best of luck with your search. If you are interested in talking to my dealer kindly PM me and I will provide you with a contact at P of Roslyn.
