Aftermarket exhaust still has cats and muffles the sound... just much less than what a stock exhaust will do. The only cons to straight pipes are that you won't pass emissions and it is often-times just too loud for an everyday driver. Technically, straight pipes should be cheaper but I do not know for sure as I've never shopped for them. Straight pipes give next to no restrictions after the engine (or turbine if you're FI).

I think that all of the RS cars are spoken for. I put my name on the list a while back, and there were already 25+ people ahead of me. And my dealer said they will be lucky if they get 4 or 5, even though they are one of the largest dealers in So Cal.

Of course it depends on what you are using the car for, but I would have to go with an RS.

I must agree....if the RS comes without the "hole" it'll be the one for me.

Go drive a 996 GT3 first, if you think it's too rough/loud/etc, you won't like the 997 GT3.

The 997 GT3 is not softer, or quieter.

i feel that porsche did an excellent job on the gt3 , but regardless if you track it or not both of these cars are "fun" meaning real sports cars and def drivers car. But my 2 cents is that the gt3 rs is cool and special but i dont like pieces of my car missing and being able to fit my hand in fist sized gaps in my 120k+ car. Like the saying goes what ever floats your raft.

I love the orange/black contrast but I just wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I have orange wheels.

if you want a loaded cruiser, the GT3 is the wrong car for you. Get a 997TT, you will be much happier...

honestly! the TT lacks the sole of a normally aspirated 911... if anything, i'd go with an air-cooled turbo any day,and preferably a 930... but the 997 TT feels bland...

Until you realize you're only half-throttle
