factory fire extinguisher question...
factory fire extinguisher question...
hello again my friends...
as i posted earlier this week
i'm in the (rather painful...) process of getting gt3 and
had yet another question...
if you decided to take the factory fire extinguisher out,
is there any drilled holes or noticeable difference vs. stock interiors?
in other words i'm asking how the fire extinguisher is installed-
do they do any permanent modification to the car,
or is it bolt- on?
anyone with this option please let me know-
i found one i can get immediately but
the only thing bothers me is the fire extinguisher.
not that it matters but i've waited such a long time for this car,
i just want everyting to suit my personal taste, you know?

Sell it to me! It uses the adaptive seat to mount. No holes or drilling necessary.
I've been trying to find the mount and bottle but cannot get it! Please sell it to me and your problem is solved.
BTW, if they have another replacement bottle avail, I'll buy one too.

i wish i could enjoy this,
but it's actually annoying me a gret deal now.
the dealer i was talking to promised me of a '08 gt3 when i talked to them earlier,
but after i faxed them the options i want and called them to discuss the
downpayment and all,
all of sudden they are not so sure if they can get the car.
they either did not take me seriously for some reason,
or bs' ing me since the day i left the deposit.
now i'm looking for one all over the place (even used ones...)
but obviously i'm much too late.
i might just go with a turbo at this point...
Some dealers have good reputations, others have bad ones. I bought from a very reputable dealer, but yet they still wanted to discuss how much of a market adjustment I could bare on the car.
It all depends on that particular deal, and that particular time, and between that particular buyer and that particular salesperson. I just don't find consistency in my purchases, so I decided I no longer was going to be loyal to any (1) dealer. Whomever wants to sell the car to me for the best deal gets it.
They may be giving you a hard time while they dwell over how much $ over MSRP they can get for the car. They may have others that expressed an interest and all they really have to say to get the salesguy to think twice is "Man, I'd pay XXX over to get that car." And then the damage is done.
Turbos are sweet. Great cars. But if you pass on the option of getting a GT3 (RS or not), I'm afraid you will regret it.
Best of luck!

especially if you've been waiting and saving up for over 5 years,
with parents' debt to take care of at the same time...

Ahh...B-town. I went to Tufts. Spent 5 years of my life up there. Great times, good beer, cold temps and even colder women.
$10,000 over MSRP is about as good as your going to get on an RS, since it's proving ever more difficult to get one at MSRP.
And no worries re: my blabber.
I'm glad I can help you out.
