GT3 "El Naturale"

Well in spite of front license plate laws in NYS...I am going topless...Keeping the plate on the front dash when cruising to see if I can get away with it. Car looks too good w/o it...

Good luck with your streaking Chris. I could not stand having to run a front plate, it just messes up the view from the front.

Guess your right about the flying guillotine plate inside the cabin. Just found the NYS law online and in summary it says:

Two plates required. 1 in front and one in back. Plates cannot not be obscurred by plastic or glass...guess that covers inside of the windshield...here's the exact wording from NYS law:

§ 402. Distinctive number; form of number plates; trailers. 1. No person shall operate, drive or park a motor vehicle on the public highways of this state unless such vehicle shall have a distinctive number assigned to it by the commissioner and a set of number plates issued by the commissioner with a number and other identification matter if any, corresponding to that of the certificate of registration conspicuously displayed, one on the front and one on the rear of such vehicle, each securely fastened so as to prevent the same from swinging and placed, whenever reasonably possible, not higher than forty-eight
inches and not lower than twelve inches from the ground; provided, however, that in any registration year for which only one number plate is issued, such number plate shall constitute a set of number plates for the time in which such use is authorized, shall be displayed on the rear of the vehicle and none shall be displayed on its front, except in case of a tractor, when such number plate shall be displayed on the front of the vehicle and none shall be displayed on its rear. Number plates shall be kept clean and in a condition so as to be easily readable and shall
not be covered by glass or any plastic material...

After 2 tickets in a month for no plate in Ohio ($100 a shot) I decided i'd let someone else buck the system for a while.

If that was in a 55 zone, that's 40 over the limit, 11 points and license suspension...Better get a lawyer to get that bad boy reduced!!! Best of luck...That is unfortunate.

Chris,
That is, without question, the best photo I have seen of your car!! Absolutely fabulous man!
I love the naked look. Glad to see you joined the ranks.
You can also think of it this way. If you get pulled over for speeding, and he notices you don't have a plate, you may get wrtitten for the plate instead. At least the chance is there whereas if the plate was there, the option wouldn't exist.

Now I just jinxed myself!! Damn it!!
