How many you want and how much are you willing to pay?

A better question might be- "Owners manual, where's that owner's manual".

bsavino 09-14-2007 04:36 AM

you got me on that one...

Jack points, rep points... they all vanished.

What will you do that you'll need to find them for? Can't change the flat tire because you have no spare (not even the inflatable donut of yesteryear), and good luck fixing anything else on a modern car without factory electronic tools and experience on the road! That's what AAA membership or Roadside Assist is for.

Have you tried these Corvette jack spacers on a 996/997? They seem like they would work if the size of the tab is OK. Our holes are round, rather than oblong. Price and quality appear to be good.

The 996 is oblong. The jack pads I linked have an oblong attachment nipple.

I no longer have my set from Elite but I do have a similar set that I bought from Mid America Motorworks that work fine. The aluminum pads do have an oblong connecting point but you can get them attached to the 997 Porsche opening by tilting into the opening and then twisting a quarter turn to keep it from falling out. Here's what I'm using
