I've run out of breathe, someone please explain!!!
I can argue why the Gallardo spyder is such a great car, its my favorite car. My Friend is stuck on Mercedes Benz, he falls into the "heavy depreciation" point of mercedes and still continues to buy mercedes.
We were talking and he asked me two questions that i just couldnt answer.... 1. Why are there so many gallardos (and spyders) for sale with such LOW mileage. 2. Wont the gallardo bottom out everywhere he goes? (had a 89' mondial that bottomed out all the time) Oh and hes hooked on the SL63, anything to say to justify why the gallardo spyder (06,07 used) is better? He says the Gallardo isnt practical for the Northeast at all..... |
If he doesn't understand, he probably never will. He should stick with Benz.

1. People don't drive exotics as much as they should. 2. '06 and newer have a front lift system. |
"'06 and newer have a front lift system."
surely you dont own a Gallardo.....05 and newer have a front lift and 06 have different gear ratios amongst other changes.... |
^ he doesn't, but that doesn't mean he couldn't... your mentioned gear change is irrelevant.
Sounds like the SL63 is better for your friend.. |
In my opinion, i think its something he needs to experience. Its a supercar..yet..it's practical. and if your going to spend almost 140k on a Mercedes that will depreciate SOOO fast, why not spend about 170-180k and get something that you wont sell in 2 years time.
I tried to guarantee him that he WILL NOT be disappointed and probably keep it for much more than the time he keeps his mercedes'... oh well thanks guys |
I drive a Gallardo SL and I have yet to bottom the car out, When I go up steep inclines I use the lift system. My LP640 is another story. Not a very good NY car. You need some sort of underneath protection or you will rip the front of the car off.I find MB cars boring. Stopped buying them years ago.

"not all 05's have the lift...only the later ones...2005.5 models"
Perhaps I have missed something, please show me an 05 model year without front lift...my 05 had a front lift and my 04 does not.... |
i guess you're right...oops

I know a guy by me in Dix Hills who drives his Orange Spyder every day, rain or shine...
