Did you happen to read the seller's description? sounds like a joke to me

This is my lambo, my baby, the best thing to ever happen to me.

So naturally my wife hates it and wants me to sell it. I'm totally not going to, but I told her I would try.

I finally had the great idea of listing it on ebay for a price no one would buy, so hope you enjoyed the story as much as I enjoy my lambo

lol thats pretty funny, and makes total sense if its real. I am on a lambo forum, and so many guys have the wives making the decisions. This is a good way I guess to get her off your back.

So how much did it cost to list he car at that price? Is list priced based on the car's price, or final
selling price?

You pay a set listing price which no more than listing a classified ad on the local newspaper. IF it sells, then ebay charges a % of the final selling price. But he won't have to worry about that.

I had a 996TT Cab with 650HP that my wife absolutely hated. She eventually refuded to get into it and finally i sold it to make a real estate investment. I know how this guy feels. It's a long way to make a point but I doubt that his wife will see the humor in this. I have a strange feeling that we will be seeing wedding gifts on EBAY at some point.

Ebay doesn't charge a percentage for car sales, it's a flat fee of $100-125 after it sells, depending on how many cars you've listed in the past.

Could've sworn I got charged a % when I sold a car years back. Maybe they changed it since then? *shrug*

Dunno, maybe you are thinking car parts? I'm pretty sure they have used flat fees since 2000 on cars, which is when I think I sold my first car on Ebay. They've actually changed it again where the first 4 listings you do are free (with $125 fee being charged if car sells). After that, it's $20 to post and then $100 if it sells. Not a bad deal considering the exposure you get.
