SL Warranty

Curious as to the length of the Superleggera vs Gallardo warranty?

Any feedback on the low mile (>1000) SL's that were used by dealers as demos? There are a couple of them that were not titled that look interesting in terms of price and options.

Thanks for the feedback.

Well a new Gallardo is 3 years unlimited miles. There are some SL's out there that have not been titled, and I think that they are all going to be a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

At least that's what I've seen from 2008-2010

That's what I thought, but some of the "untitled" SL's are nearing the end of their warranty.

I thought that all SLs had 3 year warranties. If you saw an SL with an expiring warranty, the car has probably been "punched", meaning the dealer already started the warranty by using it as a demo. How long are you referring to when you write "nearing the end"? 6 months? 1 year?

One of the cars was used as a dealer demo; it has about 11 months left on the warranty. I'm a little concerned with the dealer demos and the way they may have been driven or not cared for.

Here is the skinny on the warranty: a car delivered to a dealer HAS to be punched 6 months if not sold and so the warranty starts ticking even if the car is MSO (never been titled). SO, there are certainly a few MSO SL that exists in some dealership that will be coming to the end of their warranty period. Sad but true...

Just find the car you like... and get it... pretty soon they will all be out of warranty. still not easy to find since they are limited production. some on ebay and some still floating around but the selection is certainly not the greatest--so find what you want and don't worry too much about warranty.
