1,the scissor doors whack the door tracks above when im parking in my garage if im not really carefull.
2,bending down and washing the deep side skirts and that deep cavity in the front and rear bumpers are a f---ing chore when you are as particular as i am
3,its impossible to hose down the car without getting water in the engine bay.this leaves water marks on the carbon trim which then needs polishing...more time.
4,that ashtray in the centre console never stays shut.
5,when you first start the engine you have to wait for ever for the engine management to run smooth as it revs up and down
6,the cd stacker is behind the drivers seat.not much use when you want to change cartridges while driving.
7,the seatbelt stalk stabs you in the thigh everytime on entry/exit.
8,the factory stereo is total crap.only 2 speakers and they vibrate and rattle at low volume
you may think some,or indeed, all of these are lame but these inconveniences are REAL world,no quarter mile times or figures from troad n' rack compensate for day to day hassles.but if you've never actually owned one, just keep reading your magazines and dreaming.and if by chace you do end up being an owner by some flukey windfall you will absolutely agree with me on ALL the above points.im sure the F car has its weak points too,i'll let you all know IF i find any !

Got to go and find me some real car where I can actually keep the damn ashtray closed.
You guys are killin' me
And i thought this was a serious forum, not a bash-o-rama....
Having owned my share of F-cars (and no, i have not yet had an opportunity to drive a 430, but will be happy to let you know what i think of it when i do- on paper, it promises to be killer even if, in my personal opinion, the tail design, echoing the Enzo, is at least to my eye, too "busy"), a GT 2, and having just gone for my inaugural drive in a 6.0 Diablo i took delivery of earlier this week, i gotta tell you, these arguments are, for the most part, silly.
The big Lambo and next generation "small" ferrari are two entirely different styles of car- one is more boy racer and the other, big, continent-mashing GT. Yes, the proper comparison would probably be to the 575, which is getting a bit long in the tooth.
In terms of which is the "better" car, i suspect that the GT2 is in some ways the more drive it and park it anywhere, beat the crap out of it, fast as you'll likely ever need car which corners hard without body roll and can get the adrenline flowing when its driven well; its nowhere near as elegant as the 550-575 (and yes, i put a total of 18k miles on a pair of 550s over the course of 3 years), but can outperform it handily. Still, does that make the Ferrari or the Lambo a lesser car? Not for a moment... The ride i just took, at relatively modest speeds in the 6.0 left me thrilled long after i shut down the motor and closed the garage door. Its like comparing beautiful women or vintage wines- there's a taste for every palate, and each have strengths, weaknesses, and elements of attraction that make them special.

Ferrari is a good sports car, GT2 is awesome sports car, Murcie is sex on wheels!
Allan,do you really disagree with me or are you just blindly wearing your rose tinted Lambo glasses?Tell me if any of the points i mentioned are phooey....bearing in mind i've actually owned the model mentioned,Murcielago, and you haven't.Its one thing to voice your opinion on the internet, and another to have actually had the car sitting at home in your garage for a year and a half.....
I dont own the car, that is true, but i own the closest thing to it.
As for your reasons of not liking it:
A. the doors hit the garage door tracks? Do you have a garage built for midgets? Thats not the cars fault. No bearing on my opinion, i find that excuse laughable.
B.Bending down to wash the car is a chore? Omg, that is ludicrous.
C.Water on the carbon trim? See above.
d.First plausible downside, the starting with the throttle hunt. Simple solution. That is a common dealer fault. When the car was comes from Italy, it needs to have the throttle positions set correctly. When they are not, it causes the throttle to hunt at idle. Blame your dealer.
e.Seatbelts? Dont hit me. Maybe you need to lose a few pounds.
F. Factory stereo? Are you kidding? Ferrari stereos blow. I can see it would have been majorly difficult to change the stereo.
Now heres my Ferrari downsides:
A. Styling, dull and uninspiring.
B. car is very problematic with rediculous maintenece costs
C. Biggest downside of them all, it is SLOWWWWW. Its a guttless, torqueless motor.
Plain Boring inmo.
Oh, and i forgot about the ashtray comment..lol

ROFLMAO
This thread was like a bad book that you can't put down. I won't mention names, but some posts seem troll-like, and then redeem themselves by saying how nice the cars are, LMAO. It has made me find the part of this site that allows me to "ignore" someone, but I haven't turned it on yet.

The ash try I would definitely find annoying and honestly there isn’t a car out right now that comes with a half way decent factory stereo system. The Bose systems in Mercedes, Porsche are weak the alpine systems in the Jag/Lambo 6.0, The Harmon Kardon systems in BMW's/Land Rovers. Are all garbage compared to any good aftermarket stereo setup. I agree that it should not rattle but that may be just your car because I haven’t heard of to many speakers in lambo's rattling.
I love Lamborghini's especially the Murcielago and also love Ferrari's and Porsches. I think they are each unique and totally different then each other I find no qualities in them to be better or worse by a big margin between each other.
If I had the kind of money you guys must, I would just buy all three and quit your silly smack talk.
I would love to get in my F430 spider with the top down and cruise.
Then the next day I would get in my Carrera GT and find a nice mountain road to have some fun with.
Then the next day I would hop in the Murci and enjoy that V12 sound that is so intoxicating.
Then the next day I would wake up from my dream because I can't even afford one of these cars. Look you are all lucky enough to own or be waiting for one of these cars so just be thankful you have been blessed! They all have their good points and bad, but they are all awesome cars.

Having owned a Diablo and a 996TT, I can say that the two cars are totally different animals. The Lambo has some quirks, true, but it was a helluva car.
By comparison, the Porsche was so driveable and so "normal" as an exotic, meaning that it had no quirks. True, it was no GT2, but it was fun, nontheless.
The 360 was also fun to drive, but seemed a little low on torque, but my god, the sounds are amazing. Who needs a radio?!
I've only seen the 430...truly art on wheels, can't wait to drive one.
The CGT doesn't really excite me, visually, (seems to lack the true essence of the Porsche look, somehow) but I'm sure my views will change if I'm ever lucky enough to drive one.
I guess my point is that we each gravitate toward a model or a make for a variety of reasons and many of these cars have minor "faults" (i.e. hard to clean, radio is a bit weak, etc.), but in the end, this thread was about a 2 car comparo....I for one would like an objective view of the both car's stats, sprinkled lightly with some independent driving impressions from behind the wheel of both.
As an automotive journalist and 2 time Skip Barber graduate, I hereby volunteer my services. You can even hold the keys to my new Diablo and watch.
Seriously though, that information would be beneficial and interesting to all of us, I think.
Just my two cents.
