Experience with Lambo of Houston
Experience with Lambo of Houston
My experience with Lambo of Houston.
I stopped by the dealership to find out if my car was in the recall. They could not run the vin at that time so I left them my cell number and vin number for them to call me back. While I was there I noticed an ’12 Performante and spoke to the salesman about it and wanted to know about if they would be interested in a trade. He was very nice and showed me around. I was very impressed and talked with him for some time.
I left and two days go by and I did not hear from them, so I called. They lost my cell and vin so I had to give it to them again to find out that my car was being recalled. So I let them know I would send it in that Monday for work and was told it would be about 3 days. I told them that I was interested in a trade-in value on the Performante.
Monday they received the car at 8:30am . After not hearing from them I called later to make sure they received the car and had my cell number to call me about the trade. I was told they wanted to put it on the rack since my car is a high millage car so they can see if anything else needs to be done. By Wednesday I called and was told they did not have time to put it on the rack but it was supposed to be done the next day. They did however know where I had been taking the car and keeping the service done. Again I confirmed that I was interested in a trade on the Pefromante. On Thursday they still did not put it on the rack. So Saturday I called and talked to the salesman. He told me that he was sorry and would find out more and get me the trade in value soon. That night I noticed the Performante was taken off their website.
Finally Monday night at 6:00 the sales man calls to let me know that the car still has not been looked at and he would soon get my trade in value. When I asked about the Perfomante he told me they took a deposit on it Friday and was picked up Sat (before he talked to me that Sat). To say the least I was pissed. How long does it take to figure a trade-in value? My car was there for over 4 days before the Performante was sold and I should have had a chance to make a deal. Then he told me that they will have more in and would I want him to call me when they did………DUHHHH>>>>NO!! I was interested in THAT car. He said that he should have gotten a deposit from me if I was really interested in the Performante…….I told him YOU had my CAR and you knew I was interested because I wanted a trade in value.
Now they still cannot give me a time as to when my car will be ready. I called today and left message, but was not called back. I called later and finally got them. I was told that there was work ahead of me and most of their customers don’t drive their cars much so it’s usually no big deal that it takes this long. He said he could not give me a time as to when it would be ready, but would gladly call me each day to let me know it’s not done yet. He told me they have over 200+hours of work to be done in the shop.
The time does not matter…I just would like a true estimate on the time when I drop it off. Also, is it normal that when someone brings a trade in that you can’t look at the car in less than a weeks time to give them a value?
I have not spoken to the Manager there yet, but plan to when I finally pick my car up. I will be leaving next week for 2 weeks out of the country so I hope it’s done by the time I get back. They did say that since it will not be done before I leave in 6 days that they will keep it for me until I get back.
Anybody else unhappy with their experience there?

The experience you had is terrible. The migraine I got after reading your small *** font is ridiculous!!!!
Update on Lambo of Houston
Update..
So today I received a call from the new GM, Matt. After giving him my story he apologized for my bad experience. He made no excuses and wanted to earn my business. Even though he knew the car I wanted was rare and gone he wanted to find something to make me a deal and make up for it. I must say that I was impressed with Matt. He seems to be a genuine “car guy”. Knowing that I am part of the “Lamborghini Community” he wanted to make sure my opinion of the dealership was changed. Thanks to this forum and a few others it shows the difference they make.
He is offering me this car…. http://www.lamborghinihouston.com/web/vehicle_photos/3683974/
I will let you know how it works out…as for now he has made the first step in winning my business back. We will see how it goes….
PS..sorry for the previous small font. I hope this makes up for it
