Track Day With The Huracan
Track Day With The Huracan
I had the pleasure of driving the Huracan around PBIR for a few hot laps this past Thursday. The vehicle completely blew me away. As many board members likely noticed, Lamborghini invested heavily in the marketing campaigns for the Huracan and I now know understand why; because it's a Ferrari killer. Lamborghini upped the ante in every aspect with the Huracan. The performance, exterior, and interior far exceed the Gallardo.
It looks fantastic in person especially with some minor mods I've seen so far (like a painted to match rear bumper and black rims). The Huracan even looks better in Ferrari Red than a Ferrari. The pictures I took hardly do it justice.
The interior is finally up to par with its price. Aside from the final gen special edition Gallardo's (2011-2013), I always felt Lambo left something to be desired with their interior. Thankfully, that's not the case anymore as they've crafted a beautiful cockpit for the Huracan.
Performance wise this thing will rip the doors off of a 458 and may over take a 650s. Time will tell. Either way its a rocket. For better or for worse, the sophisticated electronics can make a terrible driver fast. You can confidently toss the car into a corner at speed and make it out with little worry.
I snapped a few pics with my phone and figured I would share them with you. Sorry for the low quality.

Great review thanks. Sounds pretty awesome, like a mini aventador. Obviously i havent seen one in person yet but im curious how the back looks in person. From pics at least i dont like how there is that "shelf" and the split colors. Maybe in black i wouldnt notice. Either way i do think i liked the later gallardo back better. What do you think?
Yogi, it's like an agile aventador... and then some. The back looks pretty good. Look at Prestige Imports instagram account. They painted the rear diffuser to match the white body. I like the look, others don't. I will try to upload a few pics I took of it the other day.
Hate to break it to you, but the 650S will blow past the huracan. Autobild just tested the 650S to do 0-200 kph in 8.2 seconds, 0-300 kph in 23.7 seconds. 10.46 second quarter mile and 18.8 second kilometer time.
Quattroroute tested a 650S as well and got very similar numbers, a tenth off of the kilometer time, and also a 10.5 second quarter mile at 138.5 mph trap :O. http://www.germancarforum.com/commun...s.50288/page-7

Huracan with the UGR twin turbo treatment will be worth a look given the "new" Audi dual clutch tranny... for around the same price as an Aventador it will destroy 99.9% of cars on the road (in a straight line).
