As Jasper said, style is subjective...

I dunno... I used to hate black wheels, but that was when I had a ****ty(ier) car and the wheels were the coolest thing about it. I think with a pretty car black wheels make the car and its line the focus, not whatever trendy wheels you have bolted to the car.

Black wheels are sort of the "anti-rim"; they're a rejection of the rim culture.

All that said, I'm thinking of ordering a set of custom 3pc wheels soon. :-)
