What didnt you like about the Vantage?

For me the Vantage seemed heavy and not very nimble. The driving possition was not that great. Seemed to have too much dash then that long lovely hood. I felt i was driving from the back seat and Vantages don't have a back seat. I'm sure it is a great GT car but I just did not take to it. still love the Vantage styling. Just a beautiful car.
I'm sure one day I will own a Aston. right now the price of the Lotus was perfect. The Lotus was in the mid $70s new. I would have to buy an Aston that was 5 years old to get it in that price range. Maintanance was also an issue with the Aston. Very expensive when compared to the Lotus.
The lotus is not a super powerful car, but the fun of driving the thing is unmatched on a production street car.

74 Lotus JPS
Here's my Europa JPS, original paint and interior, though lots of tweaks including a 220hp twin cam (using a stroked BDG bottom end). The entire car now weighs in at 1475lbs.
BTW, the Vantage is a very different car. For cruising on the back roads I love my Aston, though for the track it's the Lotus all the way.

That Europa is Awesome. love the Aston too. When I bought my Evora was in the process of buying a Aston Martin V8V. My hope is for my wife to get an Aston, but its not likely.
Nice all around. You chose Well

Love the rare Chrome Orange.. what year?
As far as Aston Martin's vs The World.. I love them- a special car indeed.. I will always have one in my "permenant" garage.. same goes for Lotus and Porsche.
