A friend of mine took some shots and so far this is the first pic he's worked on. BTW this is a 2002 Lotus Esprit 25th Anniversary Edition limited to a 100 cars made. It's also for sale if anyone is interested. :)

Gotta keep the 1 in a 100 thing in perspective where Lotus is concerned. They have a long, long history of stretching out a model well beyond its normal life by putting out a string of 'limited' editions. Some actually are updgraded mechanically, some just cosmetically, some a bit of both.

For the Esprit, off the top of my head there was an S2 John Player Special, I think 50. There was the Jim Clark Special, again about 50. The X180R, 20. The Essex (less than 6 in country originally, supposedly only 1 is running now). There was some anniversary edition that came in pearlescent white, 50 I think. The one you've cited. Some others.

For the Elise, there's the Type 72D JPS edition, the California edition, and Sport Elise, all fewer than 50 each. Oh, and the Type 25, 50 or less.

Exige...Club Racer. 30 I believe. And the Cup Cars.

Even goes back to the JPS Europas and the Elans in Gold leaf colors.

I've heard either 30 or 50 S260 Exiges will be brought into the US.

one of my all-time favs. That car still looks amazing today.
