coping cd's to hard drive

I just purshased a 08 maserati gt, and noticed you can copy a cd to hard drive. It took approx 45 min to do one disk. Is this the normal amount of time for this operation. I amost ran my battery down downloading two disks?
Any help will be appreciated.

It does take awhile, check the owners manual, IIRC you can pick certain tracks and also download while driving, makes the time go by quicker.

I drive a 2009 GT so I am not sure we have the same audio system. If MP3 quality does not bother you, then burn MP3 at high quality (and also check the quality setting in your car, I think by default is the lowest one). At high quality MP3, it takes about 15 to 20 seconds per song and you can pack quite a number of songs in a single CD.. plus all the data is transferred (track name and album name). I have done that for around 500 songs... I copy it while I am driving, so I do not discharge the battery.
