I wanted to know what CLS 550 owners had done to their exhaust systems. I am considering removing the resonator in order to get better sound under full throttle. I have looked at different exhaust upgrades from Renntech, Fabspeed etc. but I really don't want to spend in excess of $2k on what will be a lease car.
If anyone has some relatively inexpensive options for the exhaust on this car I would love to have some input.

Taking out the mufflers will give you more sound than the resonators. Cost less than $200 to chop them out and weld in some straight pipes to the tips. Just keep them and put them back in before you turn it back in.
