2015 non turbo G550 engine tune?

Ok I have a G550 2015 that has about 10k miles on it as I am not that big of a fan of it. It draws too much attention and gets tiring getting in and out and driving. Im 5'10" and is there any graceful way to get out of this thing without destroying a seat bolster? lol! I don't know how anyone uses the squared version.

The major drawback is the hesitation when you punch it and it could use maybe 25 more HP or so. I was looking into Renntech but wanted to know what else is out there? Anybody have real world info? I bought the G550 as I liked the ride better but might have been better off with the G63's power.

Thanks!!

I also have a '15 G550 (triple your miles though). I agree, it's no G63, but find that keeping in Sport mode helps with responsiveness (no substitute for the extra power though).

Im laughing as I actually forgot all about the "Sport" button. Yes, it does quicken the response. I contacted Renntech today and I am sending in the ECU so Ill report back on how she runs.

Honestly I like the 550 ride a lot better and at the time felt the HP was more then enough. I have had a lot on tuner cars and always wanted that Renntech badge so will see how it goes. In sport mode of course...!

Definitely keep us posted on your ECU upgrade! It may motivate me to make a change as well.

OK, Only drove a couple miles but there is a definite seat of the pants difference especially in Sport mode. Being in CA I am limited to 91 octane I'm sure keeps limits it a bit but I am more then happy. They are on sale and I am pleased with their rep Patrick Casey as he really kept me informed of every step and was really on the ball with everything. Nothing worse then ordering something and waiting forever for replies.

It was a simple disconnect battery and remove the ecu. Then the entire process back and fourth took two days. They send it out next day the day they got it. Cant get better then that.

It is a quick hit when you're aggressive with throttle. Heading to Palm Springs from San Diego for the weekend so Ill report back when some extended driving is done.
