I know this gun is already sold, but you actually CAN buy this in california. You have to find an AR-friendly FFL to complete the transfer (there are numerous ones). Then you just have the seller remove the complete upper and the pistol grip (and associated parts) from the lower receiver. Ship the complete upper and pistol grip directly to you via UPS/Fedex (perfectly legal, as these are unregistered parts without serial numbers). You then send the stripped lower to the FFL and complete the transfer.

You technically cannot legally re-install the pistol grip unless you get a california-compliant bullet button. However, if you choose to disobey the law, that will be on your conscience.

I take this back...Bushmasters specifically are on the banned list in cali. However, you can buy all sorts of other ARs in cali like Rock River, CMMG, LWRC, S&W, etc...
