Man, whatever happened to the 6speed get togethers? Now they are all so structured, close listed, member-associated events.

Can we just get back to the 'post an event' and everyone posts they want to show? If not, oh well they miss out.

I was texting with Berk last week about coming up with a schedule of fun stuff for the upcoming year like we have over on SVTPerformance. We have everything from dyno days, track days, cruises, car shows, and just fun gtg's at Hooters or peoples places for DIYs. Post up if it would be worth our time to do this. Also, put some ideas up, too if you want to get this place back on track.

Promise #1. Every event will be posted here, everyone is welcome, no membership or fees involved, and you can bring ideas to the table for all to have fun. This is an enthusiast site that has some potential. Lets use it!

No flames please. If you feel your thread for a gtg is a target, it's not. Not singling anyone out here and not looking for negative feedback. If you are not interested in making this site and group better, please do not post.

Scott I'm all over some events in the near future. I have been sidelined with work and a broken trans mount so not much driving. But the trans mount is getting done as we speak.

I would be down for something. New to 6speed but I would def like to put some faces to the names. My car is bone stock right now so I vote for just a get together or a show so I can get some ideas.

 

I have been to a few 6Speed events, all were a blast and all have been open - it is great fun that way since you see all kinds of cars, meet all kinds of folks. I'll be sure to post some '09 events as well as you guys.

Weather is definitely a downer right now. This week is also officially pot-hole season. This weekend I will pull up the old threads of annual events and some track days that I am aware of to start the scheduling.

 

same here for the NW! great group of people and great events! we post events up on 6speed in the NW section. we've had some members come from cali and chicago to join us! it's been a ton of fun meeting and seeing everyone!

Me too. I missed my chance last week when it was in the 50's (had to work late that Friday). My car needs a bath!

I could stand to meet more P-car owners. I'll come to events when I can.

 

Scott, all our get togethers have always been awesome...I am dying to have another one BUT I havent driven my car in 3 weeks The snow salt and the rest of the crap on the floor is not helping, without mentioning that people drive like retards winter time. I used to have an 03 Cobra and let me tell you I was not as picky abouta little salt as I am now with the 996TT
