I'm back guys...& gals

No, don't have a 997T although I think I may ask Walid from Funkiton Auto to look for a 997 GT2. I picked up my Panamera Turbo, can't wait til Walid starts work on my car. See you all soon.

Congrats, Alex. Techart again? Their bodykit looks pretty nice. Do you put clear bra on your cars? I'm looking for someone who is good who can do a custom wrap who can wrap the film around the edges. Al

congrats bro...the baller of the group is back...you are my hero...its good to have you back :)

Alex - that's great buddy!!!! Congrats!!! My friend up in NJ is taking delivery of his Panamera 4S in April. Now that is one car where I'm ok if I don't get to ride shotgun. That back seat is amazing!!!! When is the car ready?

Do the Techart kit like Al was suggesting. Makes the car look even better!!!

Welcome back....even though we never felt you left.

Funny thing is the only way Van can trump this is by picking up a Carrera GT.....Van - where you at bud???

atleung Dec 31, 2009 01:13 PM

When I last talked to Van, he said he might get a Panamera Turbo as the local daily, when he comes to town. Alex and Van should coordinate colors and mods hilarious.

I'm just gonna buy Alex's car after he finish all the mods at half off. You all know he can't hold on to a car for more than a year :D

hilarioushilarious I'm still here except on weekend than I'm down in Fl. I am so sick of Magic Kingdom.

Congrats Alex. I was looking into getting one as well. Its a great sedan but the back seat was a deal breaker for me. needed more room for 3 kids.

AvusRS6 Dec 31, 2009 10:44 PM

Pej, you mus have me confused with Van bro. I'm not a baller, I'm still on the bench :D Saw your sig and you can't go wrong with either. Have not owned either in Spyder form, but I have driven a LP560-4 and owned a 430 Coupe (didn't last long at all) both are amazing vehicles. The LP is definitely faster and feels it too, both sound great.

Al, I agree with you and I'm already talking to Funktion about a Techart kit. I think the Speedart is a bit "much" in terms of aesthetics and the Techart is more "soothing" looking to me. I'm really after an exhaust because the stock one, you can't hear at all.

Van, for some reason I thought you left the are for Sunny Florida for good. Glad to know you're still here bro. I feel you on the 3 kids issue. I had my X6 for exactly 2 months and got rid of it because my niece was staying with us. Not an issue anymore cuz if all 5 of us go out now, we just take the wife's LX570 or her Maser QPS. Crazy thing is, this had to be the very first car my wife actually liked and "pushed" me to get. Almost picked up a Ferrari California but she insisted that I should get the Panny. I have a sneaky feeling that she wants the Panny and gonna make me take her Maser. The Maser is cool but the technology sux compared to the Panny. Oh yeah, I give it less than a year bro :D. I had my X5M for exactly 6 weeks....LOL.

Berk, we all need to hook up bro. Set up a meet, I'll be down since I'm back in the P Car family. Although if you have a DD Meet, I'd show up in the Panny since it's my DD...my other alternative is to bring our Odessey that we have for long hauls...hilarious

I'm still highly considering a 997 in my stable. I was offered a KILLER, I mean KILLER deal on a new 09 997T Cab by same dealer I picked up the Panny from. Not sure what to do. The 2010 997T with PDK is very very interesting and a used 997 GT2 sounds interesting as well, but dang, the offer they threw at me with 09 Cab is something to seriously think about. Don't know what to do. 09 Cab is Silver with blue top but the price is unheard of. ARGGGGGGGG

Alex, read up on the new Turbo. It's a much different, improved car. Al

Al I agree, thus the reason the decision is that much harder. My wife is already complaining about garage space and said that her Maser is not moving so if I get the 997 either the Panny or 997 is getting parked outside. I swear no matter how many car garage you have, you always lose one for junk and stuff. I suggested we utilize all 3 spaces and wife looked at me as if I was crazy...LOL It must be an Asian thing using the garage for junk.

Also, I did have clear bra on my 997 Turbo and to be honest with you, I didn't like it. When bugs get splattered on the clear bra it's sometimes impossible to remove. Plus if the job is not done 100% right, you get stretch marks per say and it makes the paint appear like it's been over sprayed.

That was the plan but I convinced her to give FL a try before making it permanent. We bought a place there so now it's back and forth on some weekend. Kids still goes to school here so I have till summer to change her mind.

You don't want a 997tt man. You already know what a turbo can do. you should look into getting the gt2 or the Rs.

AvusRS6 Jan 1, 2010 09:40 AM

The GT2 is so hard to find and the RS, unless it's the new 2010 I don't think I want one. The new Gray and Red combo looks stunning. I was only considering the 09 Turbo Cab cuz I never owned a convertible. Maybe just trying to get it out of my system.

Hope you end up staying bro. FL gets "old" and it's soooooooooooooo humid and sticky down there. Hhahaha

Welcome back Alex! Happy new year! I wouldn't buy a car that I didn't want really bad no matter what the price because you won't be happy and you will be out of it quick. For you maybe a week hilarious

My Asian friend, have you done this yet?! You do this to two of your spaces, you would have one bay for junk, and your two other bays would give you 4 spaces. Problem's solved. That way, you can get the 997 AND something else :D:D:D.
