Per sq. area I see more dope cars in Vegas than anywhere else and that includes every part of CA and FL IMO (except maybe Monaco, St. Moritz & Bhanhofstrasse in Zurich... never been to UAE but I think they are mostly broke ass busted now from what I know of reports of many hundreds of liened-upon exotics abandoned at airports, I know people who have bought some of them).... I guess when a lot of tru players become players they migrate there to LV to the land of the players.... and amazing not one single pro sports franchise.

I did hear the Lamborghini dealership in the Palazzo closed but didn't check out to verfiy last time I was there in Nov. Most of the time they charge money to go LOOK in the Ferrari dealership at the Wynn.... I dont think so.

I digress.... back to Maple Lawn... you started it Ed!

I'll be at the Mirage with two other friends. First time in Vegas hilarious

I'll pass on what the West Coast would call a 'dope' car. Most of the Porsches I see for sale out there are usually flood or salvage titled and bodied up by Wicked. I will stick to our conservative East Coast style. Less is more.

By "dope" I meant the 1/4 million $ and up variety.... "luxury & exotics".

I can tell you with a fair basis of wholesale knowledge, west coast pre-owned cars (=CA) including Porsche are usually the best and most sought after / highest priced, FL the worst. Of course there are dog cars anywhere and everywhere, but preservation of base metals, paint finish, demographic of people likely to take proper care of them, etc. CA is where its at for European pre-owneds.

Don't know where you're looking.... the Compton section of Craig's List?

Mick - you'll have fun. Mirage is rt. in the thick of things.... but in any of those mega hotels you wouldn't nec. have to leave the grounds in a 2 wk. stay if you didn't want to.

My favorite thing going to LV is when you're in the airport coming there on tram there is a pt. where the people arriving will pass the people departing and it is like 180 degrees people from different planet... the people coming are fired up ready to party "vegas baby!" and the people leaving are almost without exception with a look of "get me the hell out of here ASAP!". It is hilarious.

And no matter how many times I go there I am fired up to get there and also always ready to get the hell out of dodge on the fastest horse in the stable when its time to leave.... even if I've won some money. You'll see.... what I just said should make sense in retrospect. It is a lot of fun.

btw..... I have comprehensive set of your Exige mod pics on a memeory stick I've been carrying around forever thinking I'd be at Katie's etc. etc. and give it to you but just been busy running around non-stop trying to make hay while there is hay to be made.

Vegas has some good cars indeed I would suspect...but IMO Monaco, and cote azure is tops for the types/vintages of cars you will see...like 959 Porsches to classic Alfa 8C and Ferraris...sure anywhere can pull off 430's and gallardos...but only a few places in the world can pull off things like Bugatti Type 57, vintage bentleys and 275 GTB Ferraris all day long etc... that's where the TRUE ballers are for sure.

I lived in Zurich in the late 90's for a bit and I'm telling you then-current Ferrari 550s/575s littered the streets in the banking sector paralleled pared like Camry's and Civics here. But those were "working folk" just commuter-parked for work.... but yeah.... the vintage and collector (not "park on street and leave type vehicles") best spotter locations are where those "working folk" retire = towards nearby, warm, tax-friendly, coastal locations.

But even in the lake region places of Switzerland- Zurich (Kimi lives / domicled there, and Lewis and I think Massa), all around Lac Leman = Lake Geneva (Schummy lives there) and Italian region Locarno/Lugano (every kind of Italian auto racing anybody lives around there).... it is like a perpetual Katie's C&C on steriods on a daily basis.

Anecdote.... "automobile racing" (of any sort) is illegal in Switzerland (there was at a time a "Swiss Grand Prix" but it was held in Italy for that reason), so a professional auto race driver's occupation is not legally recognized, hence zero taxes on your income??? Huhh?? WTF?? But true.

I wish my big problem in life was asking my tax atty. if I should live in Monaco or Switzerland... LOL

^^ I've heard the same about Switzerland...I've never been but would love to visit Zurich, Geneve, and Interlocken...

I could imagine going for a coffee there anytime of the day is like pulling into the parking lot of Katie's on Sat mornings...

One of my fav things to do in Monaco was to go to the little cafe just to the right of the entrance in front of the Grand Casino in the circular arrive and watch some of the serious hardware that came in as I sipped my esspresso lol!
