Skyline Run VIII: 28 April

DarkStarZero is organizing 2012's first Skyline run for the year.

This will be the eighth run over the past few years, and has always been a success. You will be driving some of the best curvy and twisty roads the Shenandoah Valley has to offer. Don't be fooled, this run will NOT include Skyline Drive. The name is kept for tradition's sake.

Date: Saturday, 28 April 2012
Time: 9:30
Location/Start Point: Stone Ridge Village Center, Stone Ridge, VA

Lunch will be at Melting Pot Pizza in Front Royal, VA. It is cash only, but ATMs are nearby.

The organizer is welcoming all BMWs, Euros, Exotics/Super cars, and sport cars. Any further questions, please contact him.

Route: Will be released before the event.

This run will be similar to previous runs. The first half of the drive will be fast, lineless, twisty back roads. These roads usually have very little to no traffic which means we can be very 'spirited'. We'll start out in the usual commuter parking lot behind the shopping center in Stone Ridge at 10am and drive down some of the most beautiful roads in VA until we get to Front Royal, VA. Lunch will be at the traditional Melting Pot Pizza ( cash only). The run will end there for me as I have to head to Strasburg. I need someone who is willing to lead the second half, let me know and I'll give you the details. The route back from there is on smooth, pretty roads, with bursts of speed depending on the locals. This will bring us all the way back to Stone Ridge, VA where we'll stop.

Looke like a lot of fun. Too bad it's the same day as the Castaway Critters event.
