MN GTG at Lion's Tap in Eden Prairie, any interest?

Hey guys,

Now that Cars & Coffee is over for the year, I'm gauging interest in a get together at at Lion's Tap for lunch. For those of you who don't know, Lion's Tap is probably the best family owned burger joint in the Midwest (at least I sure think so!). Right now I'm aiming for the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 29th) at 11:30. If anyone is interested, let me know in this thread or PM me by no later than Monday, Nov. 24th so I'll have time to let Lion's Tap know.

Driving directions to Lion's Tap Family Restaurant:

15.9 mi – about 19 mins

I will get confirmation tomorrow about getting some time at an indoor Go Kart track for some laps after lunch. :)

Dec:
Cars & Burgers @ Matts bar and Go Karting afterwards

Jan
Cars & Burgers @ 5 8 club and Go Karting afterwards

Let's see if these Lions Tap burgers are better than the infamous Jucy Lucy. :D

Jucy Lucy is the 'what':
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jucy_Lucy

Matt's Bar in S. Msp is the 'where':
http://twincities.citysearch.com/profile/5582754

Local insight from Wiki: "Concerning this spelling, Matt's Bar proudly boasts on posters that "if it's spelled correctly, you're at the wrong place".

(there isn't a Wiki page for Lion's Tap)

Interesting how Matts and the 5 8 Club claim to be the original Jucy Lucy makers.

Alex,
A Jucy Lucy is the best Burger I have ever had in my life. I have never been to Lions Tap though.
We'll check out the Jucy Lucy's next month.

alzilla300 11-05-2008 08:44 AM

Sounds like a plan! I'll be looking forward to it.
