Hey guys, just wanted to spread the word for us poor land-locked midwest car-nuts that I've setup a Cars and Coffee at the Krispy Kreme just north of 435 and Metcalf in Overland Park. It will run from 8:00 to 9:00 every Saturday morning from now until the end of summer... completely casual, just stop by - see some friends, cars and grab a cup of coffee and a donut. They've got quite a big lot there so there should be plenty of room. Hopefully some of you all can make it out - looks like t-storms later in the day this weekend but they shouldn't get us in the morning. Tell your friends and see you there!

Is that the Krispy Kreme right near the D'Bronx just north of 103rd and Metcalf? If that's the one I'm thinking about, that's a pretty sizable parking lot.

 

That's the one... The original post was from the events we did last year, now that we are having such a warm spring we can ramp them up again if there's enough interest. Just let me know and I'll put something together.

 

Had a lot of fun at this last year. Anybody else interested should post in this thread and we can get it started again now that the weather is so beautiful.

 

How did I miss this last year? The PCA regional is this weekend in Topeka and the MB club autocross is next weekend, but otherwise I need to put this on my schedule...if they are still meeting on Saturdays.

 

Is there a Cars and Coffee that still meets in Johnson County? Sat or Sun?

 

We haven't been doing them on account of the heat lately but it looks like the weather is finally breaking. I'm in TX this weekend but would be willing to organize these again if theres enough intrest. Always fun to catch up with the Midwest crowd!

Alright midwest guys, I've had a number of gearheads in the area ask about a cars and coffee event lately and even though it's late notice I want to see if there is enough interest to meet up this Saturday morning. It will be a chilly one, but that just means thicker air for the forced induction guys . Let me know and we'll get it setup, thinking the same parking lot, 7-8 or 8-9, depending on what works for everyone.

 

Normally I'd be all in, but this weekend is the open testing for the GrandAm Rolex & Continental Tire Challenge series at Kansas Speedway this weekend. I will be up north with my camera gear.

 

The AutoMotorPlex of Kansas City is launching its first Cars & Coffee event on Saturday morning, Oct 26th from 9-12 at KCP&L just off 199th and Hwy 69....east to Newton St. All cars welcome! We will be hosting this event every 4th Saturday morning!

Very interested in getting together with some local folks. Cars and coffee sounds great as I can't usually dedicate an entire day(although I would love to) to just hang around talking cars! Anyone have anymore interest in this?

Dang - missed the MotorPlex event. I need to log in more often!!! Now that the weather is turning, I may not bring the old Benz out until it clears off. Fingers crossed for November.

And Art: I am interested. It just seems like coordinating one of these is a real moving target!
