Just washed/waxed wife's new Mini Clubman base
What the heck material is that trim/rail guard all the way around the roofline? It has this raw/rough texture to it.
And so much of that black unpainted plastic everywhere that makes getting a clean wax job difficult. Sorry for all the *****in, but just checking to see what you all Mini people do. Thanks. |
Pics would help. I've always thought that Mini's are 'cute as a bugs ear.';)

I know what you mean! My wife has a '10 base mini and I use a product common with boat owners. It's called aerospace 303 protectant on all the black plastic trim pieces. If you apply once after every few washes it will keep them from fading. AND when applying it with a microfiber it's good for getting the excess wax off.
I should also point out, I use this product over others because of it's UV resistance. Here in TX the sun can do a number on a vechicle rather quickly. |
Thanks randomquickness for the 303 advice. I remember this material on the 80's and 90's cars, but on a recent model to me is not acceptable.
Thinking out loud, but all the trim painted gloss black would look pretty nice with the pepper white and factory black hood stripes. |
i agree - paint the trim gloss black - it would look good and be easier to clean

Can you please upload the pics for clear understanding?
