FINALLY...I'm a 911 owner!
More specifically, I'm a 2005 997 C2S owner! Two owner local car found online, took her for a test drive last Sunday and made a deal - this after selling my '68 GTO to a random stranger who made the comment "that's the car I owned in college!" and we made a deal pretty much right then and there!
My good friend has a 996 C4S, and I was looking at one of those or a turbo but opted for the 997 because:
- I prefer the redesign/front end of the 997
- Glowing reviews of the 997 C2S on Car&Driver and Road&Track
- I can fit a small amp and pedalboard in the boot - hopefully a guitar fits in the back and I can drive it to a gig!
She's got 48k on the clock - the IMS bearing failed at 20k while under warranty so there's a relatively newer motor...Seal Grey, 6speed, immaculate shape. I've been a Porsche/911 fan since I was a little kid, I'm just beside myself right now!!! |
