Zele carbon kit for Nissan's R35 GT-R

Those that can’t wait for Nissan to release its own carbon-fiber enveloped Spec-V version of the GT-R have an option in the for of Japanese tuner Zele's carbon fiber body kit and accessories range. A new report on the car has surfaced, and it looks like it will be headed to SEMA in a few weeks' time, resplendent in its vibrant orange paint job at the Eneos oil booth.

Zele's GT-R kit first made waves on the web this spring, but with a full showing at SEMA more information, photos and details on the kit should be emerging soon. The company is also reportedly working on an all-new kit with even lighter parts, but for now, you can buy the whole car fitted with all of Zele's adornments, complete with the orange paint. The lighter version, called the Zele Complete Edition, will not be shown until late 2009 at the Tokyo Motor Show, however.

The list of carbon parts in the kit that's currently available include a new front bumper, lip spoiler, side skirts, underbody spoiler, air duct, a new grille, front fender ducts and a surge tank cover. Owners can choose between wet and dry carbon products and most pieces cost about $1,000.

Zele also provides a set of Rays forged alloy wheels as well as an upgrade to the standard GT-R’s restrictive ECU. The new standalone unit removes the Japanese version’s annoying 112mph (180km/h) speed limiter and optimizes the engine to work with a new titanium exhaust kit. It also comes with a full one year warranty.
