The 2012 DBA-R35 GTR just posted a 1:17.8 lap on Top Gear's Test Track. Not bad for heavy pig...:D

That's ridiculously awesome! That list is incomplete though, Zonda R went 1:08.5, being the fastest they've tested I believe.

That's actually the complete 'Power Board' list. The list of "non qualifiying" vehicles (not available to buy and be fully road-legal; lights, indicators, registration, legal tires, as well as being street-worthy (i.e. able to negotiate a speed bump), is below:

1. 0:31.2 – BAE Sea Harrier[18] (Piloted by Lieutenant Nick Arkle RN.[19] Raced against the Saab 9–5 Aero. Took off then flew around track, ended in the air.)
2. 0:59.0 – Renault R24 Formula One car[8] (Wet)
3. 1:08.5 – Pagani Zonda R[20]
4. 1:08.6 – Aston Martin DBR9[10]
5. 1:10.6 – Caparo T1[11]

That comparo is just silly. Those two cars have two completely different goals in mind. GT-R beat it in one lap by what, 5+ secs?

There is more to a car than lap times. I think the Jag is simply stunning (my favorite to date). I'm even starting to win over the wife for it as a possible next car.
