Nissan GTR vs Lamborghini Aventador - Drag Race
What this shows is the GTR wins the 1/4 mile race and looses the 1 mile top speed.
Now lets run the same race with an Alpha 10 that still costs 50,000 dollars less than the Lambo and OOOPPPss
The gtr kills it .
The GTR kills the Lambo on any road race course stock or whatever.
Straight line racing is for Red Necks, they have a show for you with 7 liter and up BOW TIE blocks.

Yeah, drag racing these cars is like comparing which is faster around Laguna Seca - a Chevy Volt or Toyota Prius.
At some point - people stop caring.
(Inevitably, though, there are those that tune their Prius, in the hopes of beating a GT-R or Porsche... not making this up - check out Prius forums)

I think you'd be the only one in history of all people that ever saw a car, ever.

No, you won't ever own a Rolex because usually you have to know grammar and spelling before you can afford one. Go do some research, an Aventador is $250K more than a Alpha 10 genius. A GT-R is almost a second slower to 1320 and the Aventador ran a 3 second faster lap on Top Gear and an identical 7:24 around the Ring, so consider yourself "informed".

Don't mean to take anything away from the Lambo, as 1 sec is still a pretty wide gap, but it is a little less than the 3sec implied raping...
Also - DBA R35's run about 10.8-9 (11.0 is normal) in the 1/4 stock. If the Lambo is running a second faster in the 1320, that would mean they are running 9 seconds stock.
That is extremely impressive. Please point me in that direction.

Didn't see the 3rd Gen time. The quarter times I looked at were from Road and Track. 10.4 for the Vent (I have seen 10.2 elsewhere) and 11.2 for a 2013 Premium GT-R which is why I said almost a second (.8). Just correcting the statement about the GT-R being faster in the quarter. As you stated, this whole comparison is pretty useless. I was just bringing up the fact that the Aventador wouldn't get killed by a GT-R on any road course.
I was looking at this older list where the 2nd Gen GT-R was listed at 1:19.7.

I'm actually lost on what some refer to the generations of each GT-R. Each year, there are incremental improvements that keep raising the bar. I'm just waiting for the new refresh (MY2015), and see what the real R35 is supposed to be (~MY2017).
