Hard to believe there are no comments. You can buy an 09 GTR with 15,000 miles for $62,000 . Build this Alpha 9 which includes a full bullet proof Shepard trans and full race internals for $ 38,000 installed.
What you get for less than $ 100,000 is up to 900 HP ............ And it is still a daily driver......
To get 900 HP in a Porsche would cost the car plus $ 80,000 plus or $ 200,000 and Ferrari's , who knows ?????????????
Just face it, the GTR may not be the most loved Supercar on this web site but it is the fastest and most easy to tweek.....
I have owned many great cars and the GTR is hands down, the most enjoyable.......
It is also the most RARE Supercar , just look at annual sales in the USA or worlwide....
Rare means collectible , but you can afford to drive this one every day..... It is not a garage queen.......

Its probably more like 50-60k for that kit installed. I feel your incorrect at 38k

Well the Alpha 9 kit is alone 25k then you need the internals as well + tranny work.
I can tell you isn't cheap.
And a bulletproof tranny is going to need a 1-6th gearset which is abt 6-8k and that does not incl the clutch which is pretty expensive as well.

I think we are thinking of different definitions of "bulletproof" =)
My Alpha 9 on E85 would eat up my 4th gear and spit it out if I would run on max.
Ben at GTC just told me to buy a full tranny or live with a lot in reserve that I can't use.
