I decided to check it off my bucket list, and picked the worse weekend of the year weatherwise LOL:





First stop: Santa Barbara Roasting Company (http://www.sbcoffee.com/)

Meant to be a pit stop, but the place is so comfy that I ended up staying an hour and messed up my schedule.




Second Stop: Novo, San Luis Obispo

Was going to have dinner in Cambria, but all places close by 9pm even on Saturday and no way I would make it. Downtown San Luis Obispo was crowded even during an storm, so I picked this quieter place...




...and ended up having the best Skirt Steak salad ever:




Final stop for the night: Rigged Point Inn (http://www.raggedpointinn.com/)

15 miles farther from Hearst Castle. Pretty basic accomodation:




but can't beat the view (taken next morning):




Next morning: brief stop at Spanish Bay for a morning walk (http://www.pebblebeach.com/golf/the-...at-spanish-bay), then hauled *** back home to take boys to Zootopia.





In summary, not a bad way to spend a weekend at all. Will talk wife into joining next time.
