Holy Depreciation! Time to buy?
Talk about depreciation...
2006 S65 AMG
MSRP $195K
SOLD $37K
2.5 year Depreciation: 158K
per month dep: $5,266
Dep %: 81% (2.5 years)
Annualized rate of dep: -45% (thats like the stock market this year but for 1.5 more years).
Fcars are losing their value, but not nearly as fast as the luxury market.
Now IS a good time to buy....if you don't have to sell in order to buy.

I used to take my car in for every rattle, now I just gave up. Also after experiencing how much a DB9 rattles I don't complain so much.
Dealer could have easily dumped it after being on lot for 4 months or so for close to trade in value. I agree it's pretty cheap but there are a handful out there in the upper 50's right now so maybe some dealer gave the guy 40k trade in and they wanted their cash bad enough to dump it.
There are bargains to be had everywhere, it seems. Just for kicks, I was browsing for RS4s and found several in the low to mid 40s. They were in the 50s just a couple months ago. Plenty of bargain hunting to be had right now. Like PJ said, "must resist the temptation to buy!" Repeat as necessary.
